The 8 Point Facelift Explained
The 8 point face lift is so-called because Hyaluronic Acid filler is injected into 8 points in the face to give an overall lift and rejuvenated appearance. The treatment treats the face as a whole rather than looking at one individual flaw.
The filler is injected into 8 carefully placed positions in the face, which were originally identified by Dr Mauricio De Maio, the originator of the liquid face lift. The amounts required can vary depending on the individual.
The points are spread throughout the face, with three under the eye and in the periorbital area, three in the nasolabial fold between the nose and mouth, and two towards the outside of the jaw and cheek. These positions were carefully chosen because of their safe positioning and the underlying structure of the face.
By injecting into these points, you receive an optimum level of lift and volume restoration without experiencing the puffy-faced appearance associated with older filler techniques.
Individual results vary, but expect them to last between 4-6 months as a minimum.
The 8 point face lift is considered a long-term strategy for improving the appearance. You are advised that if small quantities of filler are used in treatment, it may require multiple treatments to receive the desired appearance.
